Three men— Devon Haynes, Narindra Singh and Mark Jainarine— have been charged in connection with the reported trafficking of 70 kilograms (or about 154 pounds) of cocaine.
According to a release from the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU), Haynes and Singh pleaded not guilty when faced with charges in the Leonora Magistrate’s Court for the possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. Bail was refused and they were remanded to prison until February 20, 2026.
Meanwhile, Jainarine answered to the charge of aiding in the commission of trafficking in the same court. He pleaded not guilty and was granted $600,000 bail. His matter was also adjourned to February 20, 2026.
