I extend warm and heartfelt congratulations to Mr. David Fernandes on his election as President of the Caribbean Poultry Association (CPA) for the next two years. His elevation is richly deserved and reflects favourably on his personal leadership qualities as well as Guyana’s growing influence in regional agriculture and food production.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, I offer my best wishes to Mr. Fernandes as he assumes the leadership of this important association. I am confident that his efforts and those of the CPA will be impactful and will contribute to greater food security within the Caribbean.
I look forward to working with the CPA to expand regional broiler production, dismantle longstanding trade barriers within CARICOM, and strengthen food security and resilience across the Caribbean.
