Four juveniles have admitted to assaulting a 16-year-old student in an incident that occurred at De Willem, West Coast Demerara, just over a year ago.
The youths were jointly charged under Section 21 of the Summary Jurisdiction Offences Act, Chapter 8:02, in connection with the alleged assault committed on January 21, 2025.
They appeared on Monday at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh, where the charge was read to them.
They all pleaded guilty. The matter was postponed to February 25, 2026, pending a probation report prior to sentencing.
