New York man nabbed with ganja at Cheddi Jagan airport 

Bradley Hibbert, a 36-year-old security officer of Brooklyn, New York, was caught with 15.758 kilogrammes (or about 34.74 pounds) of foreign cannabis on Wednesday at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

According to a release from the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU), Hibbert travelled to Guyana from the United States of America. Based on information received, he was searched. Ranks found several transparent parcels containing a quantity of foreign cannabis during the search.

CANU said investigations are ongoing.
