East Ruimveldt man wanted for fatal construction site stabbing

Almost one week after a fatal stabbing at a construction site, the Guyana Police Force has issued a wanted bulletin for the suspect, 26-year-old Joshua Brown, also known as “Black Bai” and “Uncle Big Head”.

Brown of Lot 613 East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, is wanted for the murder of Fendel Trotman.

Police had reported that Trotman, also called “Johnny” or “Rasta Man,” a 30-year-old labourer of Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara (WCD), was killed on Friday last at a construction site in Meten-Meer-Zorg, WCD.

According to the police report, investigations revealed that Trotman was working as a mason on a two-storey concrete structure along the Meten-Meer-Zorg Public Road when he became involved in an altercation with another man.

Reports indicate that a scuffle broke out during which the suspect, armed with a knife, allegedly stabbed Trotman in the chest before fleeing the scene on foot.

A knife sheath was discovered inside the building, and investigators have identified nearby CCTV cameras that will be reviewed as part of the ongoing probe.
