El Dorado CC and Transport SC to contest GCA Second Division Two-Day final

El Dorado Cricket Club and Transport Sports Club will contest the final of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Second Division Two-Day tournament, following contrasting results in the semi-finals.

While El Dorado Cricket Club defeated Guyana Defence Force by five wickets, Transport collected first innings honours against Police in a drawn encounter.

In a low-scoring affair at the Everest Ground, Mohamad Nassir (5-25 and 3-9) and Stephon Wilson (4-25 and 2-17) emerged with crucial performances with the ball for El Dorado Cricket Club.

Over at Transport, the home side batted once and secured crucial first innings advantage, with national youth cricketers Riyad Latif (117), Shamar Apple (100) and Reyaz Latif (2-38 and 6-41) delivering the standout performances.
