The Guyana Police Force Officers produced a dramatic turnaround to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in a thrilling match two encounter of the Super 7s stage in the Commissioner of Police T20 Cup 2026, defeating the Presidential Guard by 12 runs on Tuesday at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.
Sent in to bat first, GPF Officers posted a competitive 175-4 from their allotted 20 overs, anchored by an outstanding unbeaten knock from Christopher Barnwell.
Barnwell, who was later named Player of the Match, struck a commanding 71 off 35 balls, smashing four fours and four sixes.
He received solid support from Ronald Alli (35 off 29) and Stephen Harris (28* off 19).
For the Presidential Guard, Jason Heliger was the pick of the bowlers with 3-29.

In reply, the Presidential Guard mounted a massive chase, finishing on 163-8 as Mark Jeffers produced a sensational 97 from just 40 balls (4x4s; 10x6s), including a 17th over where he hammered Alli for four consecutive sixes.
However, the game turned in the 18th over when Ivor Trotz (3-25) removed Jeffers.
Barnwell then tightened the screws with an economical 19th over (conceding only 19 runs in 4 overs total), and Joshua Budhram closed out the final over to seal the 12-run win and a spot in the Super Four.
