Dikimbie Gittens, a 30-year-old assistant accountant, has been charged with stealing over $5 million from the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) Secretariat in Kingston sometime between September 15 and 16.
Gittens, who resides at Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, was arrested on Monday, September 22 and subsequently charged for committing the offence of Larceny by Clerk or Servant.
He appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Fabayo Azore, where the charge was read to him. He was not required to plead. Bail was refused, and the matter was adjourned to October 15, 2025 for report
