Police are investigating the death of 23-year-old Jusus Bagot, a Venezuelan national and maintenance worker, who was electrocuted on Wednesday while cleaning his yard at Bachelors Adventure, East Coast Demerara.
Preliminary reports indicate that Bagot was at his residence when he accidentally came into contact with an electrical source. Public-spirited neighbours reportedly rushed to his aid, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor.
His body was subsequently taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death.
Police investigations are ongoing.
