Archery Guyana gets kit boost for Caribbean Championships

Guyana’s national archery team has received a significant lift ahead of the 2025 Caribbean Development Championships (CDC) after Guyana Beverages Inc. (GBI) delivered the official team attire.

The support, which sees 31 athletes and 11 officials—a total of 42 individuals—outfitted in branded shirts, fulfills an agreement under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed earlier this year between Archery Guyana and GBI.

The contribution ensures that Team Guyana will appear professional and unified when they compete on the regional stage.

Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon, President of Archery Guyana, expressed her appreciation for the continued corporate backing.

“We deeply appreciate the continued partnership and confidence shown by Guyana Beverages Inc.,” she said. “This collaboration reflects the shared commitment to youth empowerment and sporting excellence. The team will proudly wear these colours representing Guyana at CDC 2025.”

Samuel Arjoon, General Manager of GBI, reiterated the company’s commitment to local sport development.

“Providing the official team shirts is a meaningful way for GBI to honour our MoU with Archery Guyana and to help our athletes present themselves with pride on the regional stage,” Arjoon stated.

Guyana Beverages Inc. has actively promoted sport and youth development throughout Guyana, reinforcing its corporate philosophy of partnership, health, and national pride.
