The newly upgraded GNIC Sports Club came alive on Sunday (November 2) as it hosted the second monthly Kissoon’s T10 Tapeball Tournament, proudly sponsored by Bumper to Bumper.
Fans were treated to an exciting day of cricket, showcasing the incredible depth of local talent as teams, including Ministry of Housing, Eastsyde, Vipers, Brooklyn Youth, Maverickz, East West Matadors, GT Flames and Knight Riders, battled for top honours.
In the end, it was the Knight Riders who emerged victorious, defeating Brooklyn Youth with a dominant display of both batting and bowling.

Earlier in the day, the Knight Riders produced a thrilling chase of 165 runs against the Ministry of Housing to secure their semi-final spot.
Individual honours went to standout performers, with Guyana Amazon Warriors player Riyad Latif earning Best Bowler with six wickets, and Akeim Viera (Ministry of Housing) copping Best Batsman after an exciting 121-run innings.
Top players such as Latif, Viera, Beepaul Bandoo and Dequan Bamfield praised the GNIC facility, ranking it among the top five grounds they’ve played on in recent months.
The General Manager of GNIC and Facility Director commented: “We contracted the sports management team of Nexgen Global and ER Small Engines to elevate our facility to elite condition, and we are extremely happy with the results. The transformation has been remarkable, especially in such a short time.”
The GNIC Sports Club, now alive with daily activity, continues its development plans, including the installation of lights for night play. Beyond cricket, the venue has expanded to host archery, yoga, dancing, weddings and other events.
