The KFC International Secondary Schools Football tournament, coordinated by the Petra Organisation, has received a vital commitment of continued support, with long-term corporate partner ANSA McAL reaffirming its backing through the Lucozade brand for the sixth consecutive year.
With the countdown to kickoff underway, the renewed partnership was announced at the company’s Beterverwagting headquarters on Wednesday.
Petra Organisation Co-director Troy Mendonca highlighted the deep trust built between the two entities since the tournament’s inception.
“Today is significant because it reflects how this relationship has strengthened over the years,” Mendonca commented. “ANSA McAL has supported this tournament from its inception, and that speaks volumes about the commitment and shared vision we’ve built together. We are immensely grateful for their continued belief in what this event represents.”
Christina Beepat, Lucozade Brand Manager, stressed the company’s dedication to youth development and high performance.
“We at ANSA McAL are proud to sponsor the KFC Goodwill Football Tournament,” she said. “Lucozade is designed to fuel performance with clean, long-lasting energy that benefits both body and mind. As kickoff approaches, we wish all teams the very best in what promises to be an exciting competition.”
The tournament, which runs from December 14–21, has established itself as the premier Goodwill Series in the region, featuring a highly competitive international field.
Eight top secondary schools are confirmed to participate, including reigning champions Chase Academic Foundation, alongside local contenders West Ruimveldt Secondary and former champions Annai Secondary.
The international challenge is provided by: St. Benedict’s College (Trinidad & Tobago), Kingston College (Jamaica), Anglican Central Education Authority Select (The Bahamas), José Vieira de Sales Guerra State School (Brazil), and Nikiere Technical (Suriname).
Action is scheduled to begin on Sunday, December 14, at the Ministry of Education Ground.
