The sixth edition of the KFC International School Football tournament delivered another day of high-scoring fixtures on Tuesday, most notably an unprecedented 28-0 victory for Jamaica’s Kingston College, as the race for the semi-final places began to crystallise.
The results strongly suggest that reigning champions Chase’s Academic Foundation and Kingston College are the clear frontrunners to emerge from Group A, while St Benedict College has established dominance in Group B.
Kingston College showcased an attacking masterclass in their 28-0 demolition of the Anglican Central Education Authority (ACEA) from the Bahamas at the Queen’s College Ground.
On the opening day, Chase defeated ACEA 24-1.
Forward Davion Clarke was the most prolific scorer of the day, netting six goals for the Jamaican side, with Shaquan Elliot and Robinho Morgan both registering hat-tricks.
Nthanda Scott, Adriel Fraser, and Shemoy Thompson also scored braces in the rout, which included two own goals from the Bahamian side.
Reigning champions Chase’s Academic Foundation maintained their own perfect record with a commanding 6-0 win over West Ruimveldt Secondary at the Ministry of Education Ground.
Star striker Bryan Wharton added a further two goals (38′, 42′) to his tournament tally, while Isaiah Ifill (3′), Malcolm Hendricks (66′), Shaquan David (80′) and an own goal ensured a comfortable result for the local champions.
With both Kingston College and Chase’s Academic Foundation showing dominance in their fixtures, they are now the overwhelming favourites to claim the two Group A semi-final berths.
In Group B, St Benedict College of Trinidad and Tobago put down a strong marker, defeating Suriname Technical School 7-2 at Queen’s College.
Despite a late red card for Naftali Charles, the Trinidadian side controlled the match, with Camron Burke securing a brace (61′, 78′). Jaylon Carrington, Jelani Scott, Josiah Barrow, Jaydan Duncan, and Kai Robertson also found the back of the net.
Suriname’s goals came from Stefano Castillion and Jizreel Sedoc.

Meanwhile, José Vieira de Sales Guerra State School (Brazil) kept itself in the knockout conversation with a comprehensive 4-0 win over former champions Annai Secondary.
Brayan Luddy Macedonian Morais netted a brace (42′, 80′) to lead the Brazilian charge, with Jonatan Da Silva (25′) and Tayllor Emmanuel (70′) completing the scoring.
Based on current results, St Benedict College appears well-placed to top Group B.
The remaining semi-final spot in the group is now shaping up to be a direct battle between the Brazilian school and Nikiere Technical (Suriname).
The Suriname outfit had won 2-0 against the Brazilian school and their final match today is against the winless Annai.
The State School will need to defeat the leading force in the group and also hope that Annai can overcome Nikiere to stand a chance on goal difference.
Today’s meeting between Chase and Kingston is all but a match to determine who finishes first and second in the group.
Matches continue today at both host grounds as the teams look to finalise their positions ahead of the semi-finals on Friday and the final on Sunday.
