H.S.S Customs Brokerage and Shipping brings Christmas cheer to single mothers

H.S.S Customs Brokerage and Shipping Inc. recently made a meaningful donation of Christmas hampers to single mothers of Kuru Kururu New Extension- Back Road.

“The initiative was undertaken in the height of the Christmas season, driven by the company’s desire to give back to a vulnerable group within the community. Each hamper contained essential food and cooking items to help ease the financial burden on recipients during the festive period,” the company said in a release.

“Apart from the hampers, a get together of food and entertainment was planned to make it an overall cheerful event.”

Althia Stewart, the company’s COO, reminded single mothers that they are pillars of strength and hope, and encouraged them to continue striving for a brighter future for themselves and their children.

In a statement, Hayma Singh, CEO of H.S.S Customs Brokerage and Shipping said: “The Single Mothers Christmas Hamper Distribution is a charitable initiative aimed at providing essential food items and holiday support to single mothers during the Christmas season. This initiative reflects our commitment to compassion, community support, and social responsibility.”

In the past, the company also demonstrated its commitment to community support by assisting Mae’s School, covering the cost of importing half of the school’s containers free of charge. This gesture formed part of the company’s efforts to support the pupils that were displaced by the school’s fire earlier in March of this year.
