Church’s Chicken, Dairy Queen & Mario’s Pizza announce grand prize winner of their ‘Merry Million’ Christmas campaign

January 7, 2026- After a historic joint launch of the Merry Million Christmas Campaign in December, Church’s  Chicken, Dairy Queen and Mario’s Pizza formally brought the promotion to a close on  Monday last with a grand prize draw ceremony. The event was held at their Camp and Middle  Streets headquarters in Georgetown and witnessed by customers and employees. 

Mr. Vickash Persaud, who made a purchase at Church’s Chicken in Diamond, was declared  the campaign’s Merry Millionaire and will walk away with the grand prize of GY$1,000,000.  His entry was randomly selected from thousands of eligible entries – a testament to the  unprecedented level of participation by customers of the three brands. 

Director of Operations for the brands, Ms. Dhara Cumberbatch, was present at the ceremony  and remarked:  

The results of this campaign were nothing short of stellar – hundreds of customers received  instant prizes when they visited our stores countrywide, twelve lucky customers have  already received $50,000 in cash, and the excitement and buzz at our stores were palpable.  

Congratulations to all of our winners, especially the Merry Millionaire, Mr. Vickash Persaud.”  She closed the ceremony by adding:  

I wish to commend our frontline employees for their outstanding performance – during what  is the busiest time of the year for any quick-service restaurant – to ensure that the Christmas  cheer was shared with customers.

Campaign recap  

The five-week holiday campaign ran from December 1 through January 3 under the theme “A  Million Reasons to Smile” and was designed to thank and reward customers 

  • Hundreds of Instant Prizes: Randomly selected customers who made purchases of ANY  amount between 1–4 PM during the holiday season received instant prizes from each of the  Brands
  • Twelve winners of weekly Cash Prizes: With every qualifying purchase of GY$3,000 or  more, customers earned an entry to weekly prize draws. 3 winners of GY$50,000 were  selected each Friday through the season 
  • One Grand Prize Winner: With every qualifying purchase of GY$6,000 or more, customers  earned an entry to the grand draw to be The Merry Millionaire of GY$1,000,000
