President Dr. Irfaan Ali has emphasized the need for improvements in customer service and operational efficiency at both the Guyana Power and Light (GPL) and Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI).
He stated that the Ministry of Public Utilities will collaborate with these organizations to enhance their systems and improve customer relations.
“That is a big problem where the disconnect between the regional managers of these entities, customer service managers and the way people are treated,” the President told residents during an outreach in Corriverton on Friday.
President Ali highlighted the development of “One Guyana” Service Centres across all ten regions, which will feature a national help desk. This desk will provide a designated area for individuals to report any dissatisfaction with our services.
“It is integrated into a national help desk that goes directly to the Ministers so that we can track every issue and ensure that you are treated with respect dignity and service, our services are delivered with respect and dignity,” he added.
